Mosaico Mentors is a Mexico City-based college guidance and test preparation non-profit that offers holistic, personalized, and professional one-on-one counseling, mentorship, and academic support to middle and high school students.
We are a team of passionate educators who prioritize building relationships of trust and accountability with our students. Mentorship that guides students to take ownership over their own learning and application process is at the core of our work. We aim not just to help students succeed academically but to grow as individuals.
Collaboration is integral to our work. We prioritize on-going training for all our mentors and support each other’s individual process with students. Our students have access to the cumulative knowledge of our academically and professionally diverse team. Every week, our mentors meet to research and develop tools, support each other with challenges, and grow as educators.
In addition to our one-on-one mentorship, we are also passionate about curriculum development related to social justice. We teach six programs per year at Secundaria 255 Antonio Semionovich, a public school in Iztapalapa. These programs have included “Defensores Ambientales” , our environmental justice program, and “Rapeado-ando”, our hip-hop and musical expression program.
